Yvette Jones Swanson, M.A., is a writer and Mission Roll Call’s subject-matter expert on veteran homelessness and housing. A U.S. Army veteran and survivor of MST, she brings more than 22 years of frontline experience helping thousands of veterans secure stable housing.
VetMentors, LLC is poised for an impactful future, with a vision centered on the development of Veteran Villages throughout the Chicagoland area and the nation at large. With approved housing development plans already in place, the organization is committed to assisting veterans in constructing new homes for themselves and their families.
The initiative represents a holistic approach to supporting veterans, offering not only educational resources but also tangible pathways to stable housing and community integration. By fostering Veteran Villages, VetMentors, LLC aims to create supportive environments where veterans can thrive, rebuild, and establish roots.
